Familienland MV expands seal for certified quality

On holiday, families want one thing above all: relaxation without unnecessary effort. This is exactly where the initiative “Familienland MV – Geprüfte Qualität” comes in. Since 2008, the quality seal of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state tourism association has stood for family-friendly offers and provides reliable guidance for parents, grandparents and everyone travelling with children.

This season, the network is growing by six new partners. For the first time, Aquafun Fleesensee, the BEECH Resort Fleesensee in Göhren-Lebbin, Kur- und Tourismus GmbH Göhren-Lebbin, the family and inclusion hotel QUERLEBEN in Mirow, the Kulturquartier Mecklenburg-Strelitz in Neustrelitz and the Kunstmuseum Schwaan have been certified. In addition, seven facilities and destinations have renewed their certification.

Why the seal matters for families

Short distances, simple processes, suitable leisure activities and a reliable environment often decide whether a holiday is relaxed or exhausting. Currently 95 providers carry the seal

At present, 95 providers are awarded the “Familienland MV – Geprüfte Qualität” seal. These include 45 accommodation providers, 39 experience partners, 9 tourism destinations and 2 gastronomic establishments. This shows that family-friendliness does not end with accommodation. Ideally, it shapes the entire trip, from where you stay to your day out.

This is a particular advantage for guests who plan their holidays individually. Anyone booking a holiday home in Mecklenburg also depends on a family-friendly environment on site. It is not only the accommodation itself, but also what is available nearby that influences how relaxed the stay will be.
